Dr. Tania Debnath is an Assistant Professor of Geography in the Department of Geography, University of Allahabad, Prayagraj, India. She did her PhD in Economic Geography from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, India. She has worked for four years as a Post Doctoral Fellow in National Institute of Urban Affairs, a leading think-tank of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs and worked in various international projects. She has won various prestigious awards like Travel Grants by Regional Science Association in 2023, and Environment and Planning A in 2015 and 2022. She has won Early Career Researcher Bursery to attend USF funded conference in 2023. She is also a SEED fellow, InfUr, University of Melbourne. Her research focuses on migration and urbanisation in global South, employment, sustainable cities, geography of work, and place making in urban context. Her research works are based both on rigorous quantitative methods as well as qualitative methods. She has published papers in reputed journals, edited books and reports.
